Here is a sample of what you might see. (I think the Ultra-gal at the end is the token Japanese mentioned above.)
The portion that we sang is きっといつか 君の夢は かなうから叶うから かがやく 子供たち "Kitto itsuka kimin no yume wa kana ukara kagaya ku kodomo-tachi!" which means "kids shining brightly" or something like that.
Our portion is at the 1:54 mark of this video but, of course, we did it better!
The moment you've all been waiting for...here is the cast of GJN9. Keep an eye out for them, they'll be famous in no time!
Let's get a closeup of that awesome T-shirt! It's ゴモラ (Gomora), a Kaiju-dinosaur whose name is derived from "Go Mole" because he can burrow well! On Sunday when they were handing out some goodies, I Ooohed & Aaahed the loudest when I saw the Tee so they graciously forked it over. Apparently it's a collector's item that can't be found in stores! Woohoo!
I got a few other goodies on Sunday as well: a sticker, a generic bad guy, a Kanegon coinbank, a Kanegon eating mochi strap and an Ultraman eating Gyutan (beef tongue) strap!
If our debut ever airs on YouTube, I'll post it here...Stay tuned...
ps. I need to inform you of a "behind the scenes" moment. We had almost completed our second take and it was about to be wrapped up when one of our members bolted for the staircase and hurled. Whether it was a stomach flu or stage-fright, we'll never know but he managed to vomit down 3 flights of stairs on the way to the bathroom. Like a trooper, he returned, and in true "the show must go on" fashion, finished the take. Here's a picture of our Cue-card guy holding 3 bags of barf!
Once we become rich & famous, I'll let you know which of the members it was!
