Pillow Talk.

I finally got around to organizing my vast accumulation of pillows so now I have some room on the couch. That is, if I can get Godzilla and pals to move out of the way.

Some of these cushions have been shown before yet I don't know which ones, so they're all being showcased. Here are some Star Warsian ones.

Lupin III and Nightmare's Jack.

Dragonball, Conan and Gudetama. These were all won via Kuji lucky draws. I have no attachment to them and since they're still in plastic, I'll probably sell them. (Any takers?)

Two Civil War pillows (it's the same pillow, just two different images on the flipside), Captain America, Iron Man and Spidey pillows and some stuffed stuff.

More stuffed stuff.

I'd bought this long mesh tubular thingie ages ago and decided to stuff some stuffed stuff within.

I haven't done so yet though I plan to add these mini stuffed versions of the above Action Toys (they AREN'T stuffed toys, they're Action Toys!)

Three different Spideys.

The main Guardians of the Galaxy.

Iron Man and Hulk and their Lilliputian counterparts.

Mini Thor and Cap. I suspect that they have a much larger clone.

Don't judge me too harshly; I easily won these at UFO Catcher over 15 years ago. I don't have a clue who they are. Any ideas?

Finally, I've added my giant Porg to the mix.

Take a Wakanda Wild Side.

March comes in like a Panther this year for the First is the Japanese premiere of Black Panther. Sure it opens a few weeks earlier in North America and is already touted to be a Box Office Bonanza based on advanced ticket sales.

Speaking of advanced tickets, the above picture is of my advanced ticket that I just purchased. With it, one receives a little packet.

Within that are four little cards and one is sparkly!

The flipside of those cards makes up a mini puzzle.

There are three different sets of cards to chose from. I may have to go back and buy some more tickets to assuage the completist in me.

This is a copy of the promotional flyer for the film. Pretty nifty!

Before Black Panther shows up here, we'll be getting another Marvel movie making its debut, Marvel's Inhumans! Sure, that was a rather unsuccessful TV show in the US but over here, it'll be big blockbuster!

Unfortunately, this movie won't be shown locally so I'll have to try and track it down in a nearby city.

At least we have something to look forward to until Avengers Infinity War which surprisingly will be released a week earlier than North America!!

Shin-Evangelion.

My Japanese movie channel (Nihon Eiga Senmon Channel) is having an all-day Evangelion marathon on January 28th. At ten o'clock, they're broadcasting Shin-Godzilla for its TV debut. Good thing I don't have any plans. (In all likelihood, I'll probably give up since it's all in Japanese yet I'll give it a try.)

Click that link above and there are some nifty prizes you can win. I'm not exactly sure how to win them, but I'll give it a whirl.

The other day at the supermarket, I noticed that there are some Evangelion Chocolates for sale just in time for Valentines. What? No Shin-Godzilla choco?!?

Hopefully, some kind soul will read this and present me with a gift of Evangelion. Speaking of presents, I was given a dog and a "love letter" from two different students yesterday and today. Awww!

Happ Inu Year!

Onigashima, Onegaishimasu.

One of these days, I'd like to check out Megishima, the purported home of the Oni (Ogres) popularized in the story of Momotarou. Most of my kiddies have now given their presentations and I have several paintings of Onigashima for your perusal.

Hmm, I detect a recurring theme here.

I didn't get pics of all the residents of this isle, but here are a handful.

The protagonist of the story includes the hero, Momotarou. A few troupes included a female version, Momochan.

This particular hero was Mushroom-tarou, an odd mix of creepy, cool and cute.

Traditionally, Momotarou's companions are a dog, a monkey and a pheasant. They were all pretty generic so I encouraged the lads and lasses to draw alternative animals. Such as...

One group went with an all bird team of Eagle, Pigeon and Hawk !

I have a few more presentations this week, if I get any good masks, I'll share them here.
