I drove out to Arahama Beach today just to relax (and to avoid the NHK). There were only about a dozen people there, mostly fishermen. Social distancing at its best.
From a distance...
Hey, I just noticed. Someone etched their name in the sand on the beach!
Up close and personal but not close enough to get my feet wet, only soggy. I did skip a stone though and I've missed doing that.
If you've got a few seconds to spare, here's the sound of breaking waves.
A botched attempt at a pano-shot. Wacky!
I swear there were a couple of ducks out there when I took this shot.
Bored of the beach, I head ashore. I do love this statue commemorating those who passed away in the tsunami.
I had never noticed these three pups before.
A crow overlooking the Skateboard Park.
Ooh...chemtrails!
Next time I come out here, I hope to go by bike. (If I can ever afford to get the tire fixed.)
Since I was on Route 10 anyway, I drove to Watari and popped into one of my schools to say hello. (The school just happens to be called Arahama.) It was good catching up with the teachers, chatting about the news and hoping that we can meet again in a few weeks time once the Spring Vacation ends.
En route home, I popped into Mandai where I saw a funky Itasha car parked.
Some cool little Star Wars figures at a Crane Game. (Don't worry, I washed my hands afterwards.)
I'm on a budget, so the only thing I picked up was SalaryKitty. Like any good social distancing Salaryman, Kitty has chosen to bring a bento box to work.
The rest of the day has been pretty boring (like everyday for the last month). I'm just a tad blue today cuz this is the anniversary of my Mom's passing. I am so glad she isn't around for the mess the world has become of late. Ciao for now...
