When home in Canada, I consumed as many Bloody Caesars as possible. Apart from the homemade ones that my host Phil made with the Vodka I brought him, I had several around town.
Check out the graffiti in Phil's basement!
Chilling with another Phil, we consumed some Flying Monkeys beer. Very hoppy and very happy!
Also had some nice Indie beers, Cracked Canoe and Barking Squirrel!
I won't bore you with all the food that I consumed yet I must show off this awesome poutine and deep-fried pickles from the Loose Moose:
Finally a lovely romantic message on a poster in the loo.

C eh N eh D eh!
That's how Canadians spell Canada. As most of you know, today is Canada Day, 166 146 years of the True North Strong and Free. To celebrate, I put on my only actual piece of Canadian paraphernalia, a cheap cheesy tie.
To celebrate, I broke out some Poutine mix but since I had no cheese, I had to chop up a piece of sliced cheese over the fries and then nuke it. Still it turned out all right.
Now I'm stuck with extra gravy for the rest of the week. I'll try it out on various other dishes such as rice, just for a lark.
I thought I'd showcase some of the attitudes towards Canada that our neighbours hold.
Here Bill Maher and my brother from another mother, Martin Short, discuss Canada's Conservatism.
David Letterman's plan to take over Paul Shaffer's homeland.
Jim Carrey who is hit or miss with his movies is always pretty amusing with his stand-up.
A commercial break...
Kevin Smith proclaims the deification of Canada!
I've always liked Russell Peters (Who? If you're Canadian, you may know him. Otherwise, you're out of luck.)
Thank goodness someone (Rick Mercer) can explain what Canada means.
Finally, William Shatner puts his special spin on "Oh Canada."
Oh Khaaaaaaaaaaaaanada!

Touring Toronto's Taps.
After a 5 week hiatus, I discovered that Blogger has changed its format and this is a test run to see if I can decipher it.
With the use of my brother's car and/or the TTC, I had the opportunity to travel around TO. First up is the Bata Shoe Museum! Nice gams. Didn't venture inside past the gift shop, not that much of a fetishist.
Moving around the Annex, is good ol' Lee's Palace and a welcome beer at Paupers.
Discovered a new bar on Queen Street that seems to have taken up the slack that the Black Bull has lost, a patio for the Biker-boys. Can't remember the name of the pub (help me out here, BigBob) but it has a cool exterior!
While out, I gained a few kilos indulging in Poutine at various locales. Best one: The Spotted Dick! Even better, the Dick still has bar trivia and playing under the guise of Sensei, we kicked some butt. Came 140th in North America, 3rd in the bar and only 50 points out of 1st. Maybe next time!
(Looks like I have a problem lining up the pictures to the text. Hopefully I can iron out the bugs next time.)
