I finally caught Star Wars on Monday night and managed to survive the weekend prior without having it spoiled for me. Suffice to say, it is a wonderful movie, one that I've been waiting over 3 decades to see. Great new characters, terrific appearances from the "old" characters and some actual good ol' fashioned acting!

This Ewok does NOT show up in this movie.
It did, though, manage to show up in a UFO Catcher bin and I snagged it on my third try. The particular Game Centre that I went to just happened to have a special whereupon if one pays 500 yen for 3 tries, one gets a free box of tissues!
I managed to win the above with only one box.
It cost me two more boxes (thus 1000 yen) to succeed in obtaining my next prize.

Finally, the other big item I've snagged is this BB-8. It'll go along well with the Yoda I'd won a few weeks ago.
Much to my surprise and frustration, I can't win the smaller SW figures. I'm cursed to only win the big stuff!
While everyone else is oohing and aahing over Star Wars (had you heard that a new movie is being released?), I discovered that The Little Prince is playing at La Cine Vita (Bivi) in English. I'd about given up hope of seeing this in anything but Japanese yet I checked out the website and lo and behold it's there! Alas, today is the last day at a reasonable hour, for the next week it'll be at 9:20am, so check it out while you can.
The animation is wonderful, the voice acting is superb and the story itself is heartrending. Highly recommended.
Anticipating that I'd eventually watch this, I picked up a Clear File ages ago.
I also discovered some stuffed figures at the UFO Catcher next to the Tomiya 109 Cinema.
It took me forever to win the above three yet I had a spare coin so I attempted the large version of Mr. Fox and won it on the first try!
The goods for sale at the cinema today weren't very appealing, though I can always use an eraser.
So if you head out to the theatre to go see Star Wars and discover that it's sold out, go check out this movie instead. I may go see it again in Japanese just to catch it in 3D or 4D, it's that good...
Why do I need to collect every little thing associated with one of my obsessions? (I think using the term "obsession" answers that question.) The fine folks at Schick have released some blades with a Star Wars theme to them. (Click that link to see an ad.)
A colleague pointed them out to me and snapped some pics from the store.
While at the cinema, I noticed two giant slick Schick posters the other day, but I still hadn't found the blades myself.
I finally found a couple myself yesterday at the supermarket. Alas there were neither shaving creams nor whip wash at this locale. So I picked up a Razor with a couple of extra packs of blades.
Good news, it's a close shave.
Hey, I never even noticed that the BB-8 is a Razor-holder, cool! Now I just have to track down some shaving cream.
Several months ago, I reported about some Wookie Cookies which was a series of stickers for Episodes I, II, and III of Star Wars. There was also a series released at the same time but not in our area of Japan. Later in the summer it was eventually released here but it took me forever to complete a set. I finally got the last one I needed last week (now I am shy of a second complete set by only one card, #1.)
