It's Stuffy In Here.

I store my winter tires in the corner behind my TV. Then upon that I heap a ton of toys, partly to display them and partly to muffle the sound from my television to my neighbours. Today, I changed my tires and thus had to reshuffle my collection. Here's the result:

All safe and sound, until the next quake, that is. To the left of the Gremlin and Gachapin pillow is a long yellow cylinder stuffed with stuffed Marvel characters.

Next to that, is a chesterfield, though more like a two-seated sofa. Upon that are my various Kaiju and Dinosaurs. Here's a taste:

I've these two for an awful long time. The brother of the one on the left once took a tumble in my toilet after the BIG earthquake of 11/3/11. (That story can be read here). I've scammed a photo from that post.

Here's a handful of various Godzilla. They cost a lot at UFO Catcher but are worth it.

A few newer acquisitions, even more expensive to Catch.

A couple of pillows and friends.

Now we move away from Toho's toys and go to some oddities, such as this relaxing egg and a kid's book Dino.

I wanted to go to the Mangattan Museum in Ishinomaki last Monday or Tuesday but it was closed both days. The author of the above Dino has an event going on there. Someday...

Speaking of Dinosaurs, I have a few of those.

Oops, forgot this one, I'll add him to the Salamander from Frozen 2.

That's about it, apart from a tiny Cthulhu pillow and Migi.

Here's the whole bunch of them snuggled up beside each other.

I somehow spent the entire day yesterday doing not so much, including blogging, so here's a double helping of Comic Books.

When Dark Horse scored the Godzilla franchise, it was a great day for all.

That's about it. I've watched a few movies though all of them have been dubbed so I didn't have to pay too much attention. I did sit & watch Godzilla Raids Again and Godzilla vs. Megalon: the former to listen for George Takei's dubbing prowess and the latter cuz it's so cheesy.

Oops, almost forgot. On the wall next to the couch are a few tiny stragglers hanging around.

I suppose I could wish my American pals "Happy Thanksgiving" though I'll leave it at "Happy Black Friday Eve!"

Merry Chuckmas!

Yesterday, my photos wouldn't upload so my pictures of Gremlins were left behind. Here they are.

I thought I had more.

I needed to change to winter tyres (for my British friends) and I keep them in the corner behind my tv. Piled upon them are a ton of stuffed toys to keep a sound buffer between myself and my neighbour. Such as...

This also gives me an opportunity to show off the Chucky dolls again.

I should watch Seed of Chucky again for it has this death of Santa scene within.

Which reminds me, I never did finish watching Season 2 and 3 of the Chucky tv show. Ah well, I have a few weeks off after Christmas, it'll be child's play to get through that franchise. (See what I did there?)

I went to our good friend Google to find some Chucky Christmassy items. There are a few. (Hundred!)

I'll go back to Seed of Chucky for this one.

For several Gatcha toys, check out this old post and I've scammed my blanket from that page.

Aww, they look so cute together!

Make a Wishbone!

Lots of housework and not much tv viewing today. I had to make an extra effort to find something Christmassy to watch, so I settled on this.

I remember owning a plush Bill the Cat, an Opus, this book and all of Breathed's Bloom County books and maybe a little Outland. I do not ever recall watching the TV Special that came as a result of this book. Tonight I rectified that oversight.

'twas a nice little romp with some cool cameo voices. One I recognized immediately, the other I did not. I shan't spoil it for you, so check here after you watch the special.

May your Christmas wish be granted!

Godzilla the Musical?

Day 7 of Govember.

I found a bag full of Mini-Shin-Godzilla. I must have found a really easy UFO Catcher bin from which to extract these, for I sure managed to win a lot of them.

Larval stage:

The second stage (Derpzilla).

Almost done now. These top three were part of a set, series 2.

This guy may have been Series 1, I don't have any with an official tag on it.

And finally this one may not be UFO Caught at all.

Now put all my doubles and quadruples together, get Busby Berkeley to direct and we have the makings of Godzilla the Musical!

What! Someone beat me to the punch!

No, that's okay, it's for the American version. I can still do Shin-Godzilla: the Musical!!!

PlushZilla.

Day two of Govember.

I had a lesson this morning and when I got home, I watched the last half of Godzilla vs. Megalon (which is having its 50th Anniversary). Not the best movie, but the Jet Jaguar song is fun.

Then I caught Godzilla vs. Biollante. This was my favourite Heisei Kaiju and the first bootleg Godzilla movie I'd ever rented. Hear her roar!

Finally, was King Kong vs. Godzilla. A fun romp with a little casual racism.

Gee, Michael, that's an odd trilogy of movies to watch. That's because they're the first three movies in a marathon.

It's gonna be a busy month!

Meanwhile, here is round two of my stuffed Kaiju, the medium-sized ones.

Those cost a fortune in UFO Catcher!

Also tough to catch (above). Below I won in my first try! (Then dropped a lot trying for a second one.)

There's a zippered pouch in his neck, large enough to place a wallet. I should keep some cash in there for emergencies.

I found these three in a Mandai a few years back, and fairly inexpensively.

I'm going to scam a photo of me from Halloween holding my other medium Gojira.

No! That's not it.

Here he is getting some action on Halloween night at the pub!

I'm off to another party tonight. There may be a few costumes, I think I'll just take a few masks. But I can't get too wasted, I need to be alert for Godzilla: Minus One tomorrow!
