GONEvember.

Alas, another GOvember has come and gone. I didn't manage to blog something new everyday, but it was close. I still have a ton of other items to show off. Maybe for Christmas...

On my drive to Kitakami today, I was chasing rainbows. 

Every time I saw a rainbow, it had diminished or disappeared once I got out of my car.

Here is what I acquired yesterday and today. A 1954 Gojira in Colour poster and B&W versions.

I picked up a pair of socks today and also won a Chibi!

I really wanted a fire-breathing one, but the claw was uncooperative.

And this Minus One was on sale at Toys Am Us!

Not a bad haul. Fortunately, I picked up a large shelf today for only 5 bucks, although I'm not sure where I'll put it.

M3GAN is my new AI Friend. Though she was crawling away to escape me.

I'd also like her to do the Strange Dance for me.

I met an Alien, Elvis and a Predator.

And I was a predator.

I'll have to wait until March 7th for my next Wicked encounter with her.

All in all a pretty good day. (Alas, the Oni Museum was closed when I got there. Ah well, next time.)

Whether you can Weather the Weather or not.

Somehow I let my evening get away from me. I blame Supergirl (will this season ever end?), Stargirl (why does this season have to end so soon?), and Murders in the Building (this season just ended!). And I finally conquered a level on Candy Crush that was nagging at me. I guess they're starting to get more difficult now that I've broken level 10,000.

So, no horror movie for me tonight. But check out this Tengu attack!

It's titled, Ushiwakamaru Practicing Fencing under the Direction of Sojobo, King of the Tengu and it is one of Kuniyoshi's weirder ones.

I've been neglecting my Loot-Fright-Crate lately, so I cracked open a werewolf(?). (Don't tell DJ Mokugohan (Alex Hutton), it's his birthday present.)

That's your trick, here was my treat this morning for breakfast. I thought it might be a simple cupcake with some orange frosting.

But no, it was some weird concoction with beans in it and covered in a thick pudding icing. Not un-tasty but it sure was messy. (Not a good look to enter school with orange pudding in your beard.)

Hey en route home, I saw a rainbow!

A little later, I could stop and take a panorama, but it got a bit wonky near the end.

Ah, that's better but not as clear.

At one point, I saw the beginning of a double rainbow but I was immersed in traffic by then.

Speaking of the weather, I sure hope all is well in Kumamoto for Mt. Aso decided to blow its top today! (Click that for some pics and a video).

As far as I know there were no injuries to any humans. The same cannot be said for the reckless Kumamon!

HMV Final Wars.

Back in 2005, when Godzilla was undergoing forced retirement, HMV brought out a boxed set of 15 Glow in the Dark figures. I just happened to be in Tokyo when these debuted, so I snapped up a box and forgot all about them. We have ゴジラ、轟天号、ガイガン、マンダ、ラドン、キングシーザー、アンギラス、エビラ、モスラ、ヘドラ、ミニラ、モンスターエックス、カイザギドラ、クモンガ、カマキラス。
They are all pretty cool and one day I'll display them, in the meantime I'll keep them sealed in plastic.

Coming home from joining a couple in Holy Matrimony today, I managed to snap a few shots of rainbow between buildings. It was raining off and on all day and it just happened to stop in time for the couple to take photos outside. Someone put in a good word!
