It's November 1st and normally I'd be saddened by the end of Halloween, especially since next year is a Leap Year, making the wait until next Halloween even longer! But...it's also the 70th 69th Anniversary of Gojira's debut on Friday so to celebrate, I'm going to try and do a daily GOvember post (not Movember which has something to do with shaving one's moustache, I think). We'll see whether I get bored with it in a few weeks.

GOvember!
Not even last year gets it right.
John Carpenter is getting in on the act by having a movie marathon.
Looks like fun!
Speaking of fun, I thought I'd just showcase a few of my smaller stuffed Kaiju. (Mainly because they're readily accessible.)
This one may look dusty (it is) but not as bad as when I first got it. Some old guy who works in a nearby toy store gave it to me as a present when I popped into his (frequently closed) store.
Here she is singing on Mothra's Day a few years back.
Here's a more recent purchase (only 390 yen!) of a far cuter Mothra.
Far more expensive (yet no less cute) because I had to win it at UFO Catcher is this larger Mothra.
Speaking of cute and since we just had Halloween is a Hamster dressed up as Godzilla or it's a wacky nuclear accident that combined the two.
Another one of those 390 yen purchases is this rather derp Godzilla. Not very cute.
A far less derpy one is this guy. His eyes are hypnotic!
I have a few more Kaiju kicking around and I'll show them off later.
I just bought my ticket for the new movie Godzilla: Minus One. It promises to be a blast!

Pop-Up Fresh.
A Pop-Up Godzilla store opened up downtown in a Tsutaya video store. Two different friends pointed this out to me (I have good friends).
I just happened to have some extra spending money, so I wandered down there last Saturday. Here are some of the things I didn't buy...
It was Hedorah's 50th anniversary last year. They're still pushing his merch quite strongly.
Godarnit, that Chibi-Gojira is adorable.
Considering it is Gigan's 50th anniversary this year, there was surprisingly little new merchandise.
I did buy a few items, a set of stickers and an acrylic key-chain.
I also couldn't resist a Hamster cosplaying as Gojira. (Who could?)
Ah well, at least my previous GojiHam-kun now has a companion.
I also scored a number of Clear Files.
Grr. For some reason, these uploaded in the opposite order as intended.
These next four were bought earlier at a different Godzilla store (in e-Beans). I grabbed them because merchandise for them is rare.
These are a few years old but I like the artist. Yuji Kaida.
This one is just damn cool.
These two are also pretty funky. This following one was the last one! (Unless it's since been replaced.)
One of those aforementioned friends went in to the store today and snapped a few photos that I didn't.
I swear those chopsticks weren't there when I was and I commented on that to my roving reporter. He popped back into the Pop-Up and picked me up a pair since they were selling out quickly. Woohoo!
Since Godzilla isn't very Halloweeny, (unless you find Gigan scary), this post is only tangentially related to the Countdown to Halloween. Therefore, here are three pics that my brother sent me from some homes in his neighbourhood. I like how the spider just slightly reaches over into the sidewalk. Not enough to impede passers by, yet enough to startle them if they're paying more attention to their phones than where they're walking.
Here's a smattering of other bloggers, such as Terror Titans, Into the Cauldron, and Musty TV. Hopefully, I'll return to less Kaiju-related antics tomorrow.
