Green Lantern's Light!

Sheesh, another busy day and the only viewing I managed was watching the finale of Lanterns. A very impressive finale to a very impressive series. Was the dynamic between John and Hal terrific? Yes. Were the gals in the show also terrific? Also yes. Was it slow at times? Yes. Was there not enough action (in a superheroic vein)? Yes. Did I really like Guy's appearance? Definitely, yes.

Do I want to see more of Sinestro since he didn't really have much to do? Yes. Am I pleased that I found a Funko of him several months ago? Absolutely, yes.

Am I hoping that this series does so well that there'll be a Season 2? That would be a Yes.

Am I pleased that they came out with a series of JLA mini figures that come in their own tiny clear capsule cases? Yes.

Am I glad that one of them is Hal Jordan Green Lantern. Yes.

Is it a happy coincidence that my book of Monsters happens to have a Jack o' Lantern? Yes, it is.

Is this one funky Google translation? Yup.

Is it cool that I instructed my students today to write about their favourite Yokai/Monsters and as a demonstration, I used an old Sendai-based Youkai from a blog entry of  a few years back? It certainly is.

Chouchin Kouzou: The Red Lantern Boy (Click the link for details.)

Are you getting sick of me introducing all these entries with a question and an affirmative answer?

Yes? Me too.

Speaking of Yokai, one of the Facebook pages I follow is Yokai Attack and one of the "Top Contributors"  (Johannes Battey) has put forward a challenge to people to draw their own Yokai. Day 3 happens to be this anthropomorphized Lantern with a protruding tongue called: Chouchin Obake. I have scammed several of the artists' portrayals and have credited them accordingly. Only one has a noticeable website, the others may have Websites or Instagrams or whatever. You'll have to subscribe to Yokai Attack and dig deeper into their pages.

Forgive me if I have spelled any names incorrectly or not used proper accents or umlauts. (Not sure how!)

Great work to all of the above and this is probably the last time I shall do such a thing. (Too much work.)

As for a snack, I don't have anything that I've purchased but snapped a few photos from the supermarket. Such as:

The link from the official Countdown to Halloween site for i-mockery doesn't seem to be working, so try this for links to some retro Games.

I have a day off tomorrow so hopefully I'll be able to watch a movie or something!
