For Medusanal Purposes.

Thanks to the fine folks at DKU-TV, I spent this Thanksgiving afternoon watching both The Fly (AGAIN) and Terrorvision. The Fly is magnificent with great acting (except that Geena Davis needs to work on her crying), terrific practical effects, a gripping story, and an excellent callback to 1958's The Fly. Terrorvision is magnificentish with mediocre acting (especially Medusa*), lousy special effects, a ludicrous story and wonderful tributes to several old 50s Monster Movies. I love them both but for vastly different reasons.

I use Punch to access the above shows.

You can watch a fairly good print of Terrorvision on YouTube.

*This is the aforementioned Medusa played by Jennifer Richards who has NO IMBD page so this may be her only movie. Too bad, she was a lot of fun as a Horror Movie Host.

Speaking of Medusa, she shows up in my Monster book looking as radiant as ever.

Google couldn't quite translate her name properly in the title.

On the following page, they dwell on her Mythological origins.

Here is one rendition of her from Marvel Comics as Queen of the Inhumans.

I'm not sure why I'm going about her, I just like redheads I guess.

Since today is Canadian Thanksgiving and Japanese Sports Day, I had a leisurely day all day sleeping in and watching the tube. I'm thankful that I was able to pick up these two stuffed Godzilla characters cheaply.

Oh yeah, I also watched the first episode of Carrie! Very fun, I'll be revisiting that daily.

For more Halloween stuff, try Euclid Boo or just go to the homepage of Countdown to Halloween 2026 and click around until something appeals to you.

No Halloween snack today, something equally useful though.
