All Hallow's Eve is officially here and I'm sitting at home in my pjs blogging before bed. I was given the opportunity to wander the streets of downtown Sendai and poking fun at passersby yet I opted out. One reason is that I'm still too pooped from a marathon week of Halloween lessons with the screaming brats at school, a Work-related party yesterday, and a night on the town last night hoping to squeeze in some last minute horror in my October.
I wrote about the work party yesterday, I'll show off some more pumpkin drawings later and here are a few highlights from last night's shindig. There were about two dozen people crammed into a tiny bar called Dimples, I also went there last year but 'twas on a Saturday night, not a Sunday so the crowd was livelier. The band was called Meg & Runaway Horses and they played mostly Bluegrass. Good tunes but not exactly spooky. I recall Rawhide, Tennessee Waltz and this song about Strangers.
Here are a few pics from the gig.
And a few pics taken from a camera other than mine...
One thing I've learned from this is that Spandex is NOT my friend and until I lose the gut, I'd better give up my career as a Spider-Man impersonator.
I showed off my Yam o' Lantern to the kids and teachers at school and they were impressed.
It looks even creepier a day later. Here are the last of this year's Jack o' lanterns courtesy of my Grade Fivers. Try and guess which were drawn by damsels and which by dudes.
Only a single ghost!
Since it was Halloween, I splurged and ate a cat for breakfast. Too sweet and too dear, but cute.
To finish off the season, I dug through my recent Chucky collection. You can always hit the label "Chucky" to sift through earlier entries and you'll come across these sets. I've reproduced them to make it easier.
What IS new are these four dolls that I would have spent a fortune in UFO Catcher yet managed to wrangle used for about ten bucks.
I managed to win this big one in a few tries.
And these two pillow cases are courtesy of LootCrate.
I still need to start on Season 2 of the Chucky TV series. Maybe on Thursday, I have a day off.
Thanks to Facebook Memories, I managed to dredge up a few more costumes of my past. None of them very good, though the Hulk is a personal favourite.
Just for fun, here is my transformation into Hulk from years gone by.
Gee, I haven't finished showcasing all my T-Shirts. I could save them for next year, but who knows what'll become of them.
