Happy Halloween!!

Yay, it's finally here, my favourite day of the year! (Hey, that rhymes.)

BUT I'm really busy so I don't know if I'll have time for a more substantial post tonight. Therefore, here is my all time favourite image of Halloween, Japan style.

I picked up this tapestry a few weeks back on my return trip from Yamagata at one of the Highway Omiyage stands. It was only 1000 yen and I love it! I have it hanging on my door as I exit every day and I think it'll become a permanent fixture.

I also received some surprise treats today. In today's school lunch, we received some カボチャのムース (Pumpkin Mousse) for dessert and surprisingly it was tasty.

I had to pop into head office and hand in a form and landed a KitKat that I'd never seen before. It was orange and caramel-flavoured and a pleasant surprise for one who's rarely on the receiving end of treats!

Dagnabit! I have to leave now to go to yet another Halloween Party at the Ha'Penny Bridge. There'll be bands and treats and I dunno what else. Oh yeah, hopefully the 5th game of the Eagles/Giants game!! Unfortunately both FOX and Cartoon Network have a Halloween special. Right now are a bunch of Bugs Bunny cartoons and I just saw one of my favourites.

Have a Hellish Halloween and I hope there will be some cool costumes tonight. (Mine promises to be very lame!)

Where Eagles Dare.

I never thought I'd let Sports get in the way of Halloween but our team, the Pacific League Champion Rakuten Eagles are in the middle of a World Konami Japan Final Series. We lost, we won, we won again big time and today we lost. So the game is tied at two games a piece!

What follows is my reaction to the fourth game.

I have another Halloween party tomorrow night and rather than listen to the live bands and partake in Devil's Night, I'm more interested in watching the fifth game of the series.

Here is the club I used to pummel the Giants' mascot senseless.

When they won the Pacific, I picked up a care package that included this bag, a towel and a mug. Not a bad deal for 3000.

My friend Kelly's mom's friend gave me a cool scarf the last time I went to the game with them. I used it to hang the mascot in effigy. I hope that'll bring us luck for tomorrow!

To bring this back to the Countdown to Halloween, here are some pumpkin pictures that my grade 1s drew.

Pretty creepy for 6-7 year olds. Speaking of pumpkins, I managed to get one carved last night. It's my first theme pumpkin instead of just a creepy face. I initially assumed it'd be Spider-Man but a friend pointed out it resembles Strongbad!

Stupid Giants game cut into my blogging time so I'll just show you some figures of Kaibutsu-Kun and friends.

Tonight's snack is not very Halloweeny but it is Eaglish. Some Rakuten Eagles senbei cracker.!

Tomorrow night is THE night. What with my party, another ballgame, work and occasionally sleeping, I'm not sure when it'll get posted. Hopefully tomorrow!!

Post Party Depression.

Here are the pics from the second party at Ernie's from Saturday. I was ready to post them yesterday but my computer crashed and I had to go to bed.

Today's snack is actually Saturday's snack but I forgot to take a picture. Pumpkin flavoured KitKat in the mouth of Kat-woman

Though it may seem as though I only take pictures of cute gals, there just weren't that many guys dressed up at the party.

These two Men in Black erased everyone's memory of me as the chubby mummy!

That's it for now. I'm in the middle of a stressful ball game!

Stylish At Stylus.

Here are some of the pics of peoples at Saturday's parties.
Today, the Work-related gang at a small but comfortable restaurant/mini-club called Stylus. The winners of Funniest, most Horrific, Sexiest, Lamest, and Best Gal and Best Guy.

What follows are random photos of the rest of the gang, starting with the host of the gig.

That last guy is James Bond, kudos to he, Tracy and another who joined us at Ernie's* afterwards.

Here are a couple of pumpkins from today's Grade 1s. Not as off the wall as the Grade 3s but there is some potential here...

Today's Kaibutsu Kun is really long, so I'm just going to show the first and last pages. Chances are no one will miss the entire story. A Giant Kaiju-Penguin attacks!

Tonight's snack was actually tonight's dinner, a bit of Halloween Pasta! YUMMY!!

* Pics of Ernie's Party tomorrow!!
