Hail Hydra!

I never did get to finish many of the pictures from my Monster book, so I'll just use this as a finale since it is Godzilla Day and this is the Kaijuest of them all. I present the Hydra...

 

Speaking of Godzilla, I picked up this figure after failing to capture it via UFO Catcher.

I haven't organized my Halloween pics yet, so I'll show them off in the near future. Suffice to say, I was Kaijuesque and actually won a prize for my costume.

 

Unfortunately, nothing full frontal so you can see the majesty of it all.

Sunday was November First and I had my first of several Santa Claus gigs first thing in the morning. 

 I refused to accept my fate totally and wore a pumpkin and vampiric mask to rebel.

 

 

And yesterday, I had to drive to Aizu-Wakamatsu (about a 3-hour trip one way) for a wedding. I couldn't let The Day of the Dead go by unnoticed. Coco would be proud.

 

Oh yeah, after the Santa gig I watched Clayface! If you bought an advance ticket, you procured a free comic book. Cool. First appearance plus a later similar story by Mike Mignola. 

 

If you check out the comic book credits, you'll undoubtedly recognize a tribute in the movie, The Moldoff Building.

You're Getting Sleeeepy!

After a rare evening lesson, I popped into the Mandai in Tagajo and what should I find? A new Godzilla Minus 0-0 figure.  

 But I gave up after a few tries. Hopefully I can nab one before the new movie starts next week. 

And then I noticed a new Gatcha with Snoozing Kaiju. I managed to score the entire set in 7 tries and triple I got were all Godzilla.

 

Yaaawn! A drowsy Godzilla, a snoozing MechaGodzilla, a Gaigan nodding off, and a Hedora in slumber.
 

 What is that thing on its tail? Is that a Mothra Larva?

Put your head on my shoulder...

These are pretty cool.

Even cooler are these figures procured for me by one of my agents who was in America for a week. He scored as many as he could (and kept a few for himself which his son sold on Mericari for a 700% markup on auction.) I feel bad that he had to consume so many Happy Meals, but c'est la vie. MINE won't be sold. Here's what I got.

As you can see, I'm missing three: Badtz-Maru X Rodan, Chococat X Space Godzilla, and Kuromi X MechaGodzilla. If anyone wants to battle E-Bay and buy them for me, I won't be offended.

Sadako Saturday and Sports!

Yesterday was my school's Sports Day festival and I learned yet again that playing volleyball once a year is not a good fitness regime. The teachers lost against the gal-students 32-31 and 36-32. After lunch, they played against some lads and won 37-29. I was benched.

Lunch consisted of an imonikai style picnic and I had three bowls of the taro soup/stew. I was in no condition to play volleyball, so it was just as well.

A couple of students dressed up, so I put on my rabbit ears and snapped a few pics. I was greeted with "Bunny girl" a few times.

 I've had their faces slightly blurred for anonymity. 

 

 Chainsaw Man was the best!

Afterwards, I popped into the mall and picked up a twelve-pack of beer. Did I buy it because of its carrying case? Possibly.

I drank a couple in my Palpatine mug.

Today, I met up with a fellow Michael and we went to a Flea Market in Oroshimachi.  I ate a kebab, bought show shoes and boxers and ran into some trouble on the street!

 

I was spared.

 I had a choco-banana to calm my nerves.

 

In the window of one of the stores were several Lego-like sculptures. But I don't think they were for sale (it was closed.)

A quiet evening so far so I decided to beet boredom and bore into a beet.

And when I added some canned tomatoes and pepper its guts made a passable borscht.

 

 

Oh Yeah, tonight is another Sadako Saturday, so today I'll feature my fellow Bunny girl, Sadako the Bi-Cute Bunny!

 

 

 

 

 

 Not as spooky as Sadako, Undine is a nymph with an attitude.
