I survived my volleyball game today, the Teachers actually beat one of the lads' teams, though we got trounced by the others. I held up my own, I scored as many points as I gave away. And I got to debut my Lobster Sandals for the imonikai.
The imonikai (an autumn outdoor event in Japan, especially in the Tohoku region, where people gather to cook and eat imoni, a taro and meat stew, from a large pot*) consisted of pots of stew by each class and other items as well.

Most students dressed up thematically, most of the First year students wore matching t-shirts emblazoned with childhood photos.
There were three Donald Ducks in First year as well, and they won first prize.
A worthy endeavour though I would have picked the 9 Chucky clones from Second year who each had scars on their faces as well.
I provided the masks.
During the awards ceremony we were treated by two special inflated guests. (Don't ask me why the picture is tilted. It looks fine on MY pc.)
All in all, a pretty good Sports Day and I'm sure I'll be feeling a few aches and pains tomorrow.
I didn't buy any this time around, though these Disney villains are all pretty cool.
Alas, I didn't win this Mecha-Godzilla light. I may try again tomorrow, there's a huge UFO Catcher event going on.
I think today's Oni, Jinrin, looks very cool, not threatening. Eight heads are better than one.
Time for some Ghost Rider!
I'd be remiss if I didn't comment on the passing of Ace Frehley. I had the KISS comics when they first came out and though I made a tidy profit selling them in the 90s, I wish I still had them.
Great news though! It looks like we may be able to pull off a Halloween Shindig this October 31st! It rarely lands on a Friday when I don't have to work the following day. Details to follow, for now...
DJ Mokgohan is back!
