Apart from stringing up a bit of tinsel on my door every year, I hardly ever do much decorating for the season. I don't even have a tree, though I do sometimes hang a few ornaments on my slowly dying aloe plant.
This year I may pick up a cheap tree and go all Martha Stewart on it. I'm considering going with the following motif...
In the spirit of the season, I'd be remiss if I didn't present a battle between the Big G and the Big S!
Some pretty good effects above there, but these FX are superior:
Another look at the same battle. Who'll win this time?
These are the largest of the figures I own. I now see why I kept them in a box, they'd be a bugger to dust. As you can see, Bambi didn't fare too well this time out.
This guy was given to me as a gift in 2005 shortly after his 50th Anniversary. It's part of the ムービーモンスターシリーズ (movie monster series) and apparently he's increased in value since then.
I don't recall where I got King Ghiddorah from but I like to think that his heads speak in the voices of Larry, Curly and Moe.
More Godzilla goodies continue for at least a week, but I may extend it to a month!
I knew it was coming up but I didn't realize that November 3rd was ゴジラ's 56th birthday until I read it in the very august blog of August Ragone. Fortunately, I unknowingly happened to post a giant mask of the Big G yesterday so I am officially going to start GODZILLA WEEK at mytwoyenworth!!
Does everyone recognize this dear deer? I'm sure you do, thus I know you know where I'm going with this.
I first saw BvsG on The All Night Show starring Chas Lawther as Chuck the Security Guard. (I also saw footage of a starkers Marilyn but that's another story.) Listen to Chuck pluck at a guitar and then around the 2:35 mark is the classic.
Here is the original short without Chuck's musical accompaniment
Thanks to one of my several Godzilla figures and a choco-egg of Bambi, I've recreated the final moments.
