A Few D**K Pics!

This may be the first time I've ever sent any D**k pics, I was inspired by this Rolling Stone headline.

In case you're unaware, the asterisks represent the letters "ic". Just so I don't get flagged by some ignorant algorithm, when referring to the centenarian above, I shall call him DVD. DVD turned 100 years old on December 13th. There, that isn't confusing at all. 

Since I perpetually present pics from pamphlets of passed people, it's a privilege to showcase one of the living.  I can't locate my copy of Mary Poppins, so here is the next best thing. 

 

Notice that author Ian Fleming is mentioned in the Japanese credits (third name down) yet not shown in the English credits.

 

 

The producer, Albert R. Broccoli, also brought in a couple of his Bond troupe such as Gert Fröbe and Desmond Llewelyn. Apart from DVD, few of the cast is still around, fortunately the kids are still with us (they're just a year younger than me.) Benny Hill and Robert Helpmann as the Toymaker and Child Catcher are deliciously evil.

I'm pleased to announce that I completed my new Godzilla Gatcha set. The rare one is Baragon.

We also have my personal favourite from this set, the rarely represented Gorosaurus.*

Also a Radon from '64.

And Gojira himself from 1968.

*Gorosaurus just happens to show up in one of the movies I watched today. 

It is also starring birthday girl Mie Hama who is a spry 81-year old. Here she is at 80.

I also saw her in the last half of You Only Live Twice (1967). Hopefully I'll get to see it in its entirety when the marathon repeats itself. After Kong, she was in a romantic comedy called Kitchen (1989) but it wasn't very good. I saw her as a princess in Samurai Pirate (1963) or The Lost World of Sinbad. Then she was in two spy comedy thrillers from 1965, 100 Shot, 100 Killed and International Secret Police: Key of Keys. I had a hard time distinguishing these. Another movie similar to Samurai Pirate (a lot of the same cast) was Adventure in Kigan Castle (1966). Showing now is a musical called You Can Succeed, Too (1964). I'm going now watch it instead of blogging further.

No Time to Blog!

I saw No Time to Die tonight and that 3 hours took a big chunk out of my evening. Details on the movie later. (A bit slow but enjoyable with a great new kick-ass gal. There. That should whet your appetite.)

I don't even have time to tell you about that monkey! (If anyone wants to weigh in, feel free.)

Nor this candy ghost. (Suffice to say, I thought it was chocolate, it isn't. It's like a lollipop.)

I found a couple of Back to the Future cars on sale today. I don't have time to upload them.

Neither do I have the time to talk about this She-Ra notebook!

I will take the time to share the best part of the new Bond movie, a bit of Louis.

I'm busy again tomorrow night, but hopefully there will be Time Enough to Blog...
