Play Ball!

Today, Japan conquered the US in the World Classic of Baseball! To celebrate, I ate another messy conconction at McDonald's and got a few more file folders. (I'm guessing that they aren't a very hot item, for they gave me 2!)

But the game ain't over until the fat sumo sings! They need to prevail against Korea tomorrow or hide their heads in shame until the next bout.

In other sporting news, here is an Amazing Bowling Trick-shot!

Bowling for Dolls.

A week ago, I went bowling with the gang from 305. Why, you may ask, would one hang out with this motley crew? Let the photos speak for themselves...

This last guy is one of the owners and a fun guy to boot. Incidentally, my score that day was my worst to date! I barely broke a hundred in the first game!

Speaking of Dolls, June 3rd is "Memorial to Broken Dolls Day". A Buddhist observance when broken dolls are enshrined by a priest. That's the only detail I could dig up on the occurrence.

More Bizarre UFO Catch Situations.

I have been known to be a pretty good UFO catch aficionado. I've cut down a lot in the last few months, mainly due to lack of finances, but I still occasionally enjoy the odd catch. Speaking of odd catches, here's one of the odder ones. Tonight I went bowling with the 305 gang again and one of the games there is "Panty Catch" (not used, I trust). Unfortunately I was unsuccessful in acquiring any, so I don't have a picture of my panties prize, but I did snap a picture of the game in action...

I'm off to bed now. It's been a busy weekend and I'm zonked, so it's zzzzz time for me. More on the weekend's events anon.

Strikes, Spares and Misses.

One of the bars that I frequent in the wee hours of the morning is called 305. It's this little hole-in-the-wall place that calls itself a Speakeasy and is very casual and relatively cheap. Periodically, they have a mini-bowling tournament amongst its patrons and it's a fun way to kill a few hours on a Sunday.

A moderate amount of beers is consumed and the events' proceedings include a bizarre Cos-play portion. After the first match, the winners then adorn various costumes and parade around, humiliating themselves and partaking in the next game in Fancy dress. I was fortunate enough to win and got to wear a ballerina tutu with a long-necked Swan extending from my nether regions. Other costumes included, Wrestling masks, Nurse outfits, Baby garb...you get the idea. A Swan-shaped extension to ones privates does lead to some goosing and other practical jokes. Well, much jocularity ensued.

I am in no way a prude, but it behooves me to accept horseplay accompanied with large bowling balls. Fortunately no ones' feet were crushed in the pranks where balls were thrown at each other.

Unfortunately, I had to catch a bus so I couldn't attend the post-bowling party but they'll be saving me my First-place prize. I scored much better when I wore a prosthesis. If only real life weren't like that.
