Around Town...

In between parties and school and sleeping off a head cold, I've managed to take in some of the sights of the city, specifically the more decorative areas.

The Aeon Mall in Natori has Halloween decor in various locations throughout.

 

 

 

I watched Gemini Man (pronounced as Gem-in-ee Man in Japanese). I liked older Will and hated younger Will. Now how did he pull that off?

At the Disney store, they're selling secret Clear Files. I'm glad I didn't get the Thor or Hulk-stinky artwork.

Hey, a Spidey Dr. Pepper!

Whoa, a Used-book sale at e-Beans and they had a ton of 200 yen comics. I bought a few, these two are relevant to Halloween.

 

A cool tale features Black Lighting and Katana vs. Kuchisake-Onna.

 

There's a Conan display at Loft.

And a pop-up store of whatever the heck this is.

Giri Giri Geri.

ギリギリ Giri Giri = Just in Time, げり Geri = diarrhea. All day today, I have managed to get to the loo just in time for my bowels to explode. Too Much Information, so enough of that. What it does mean is that I'm in no mood for a long blog post, so here are a few items that have crossed my path in recent days.

I found a Conan/Lupin pudding at 7-11 today. The Lupicona Movie (pretty cool portmanteau of the two iconic characters) doesn't open till Dec. 7th so the merchandising will inevitably be coming fast and furious until then.

Private Eye In The Distant Sea.

I quite like that title, it is the name of the latest Conan (not Barbarian nor talk-show host, rather Detective) movie that hits theatres on April 20th. I like the concept of Conan though I've never actually read any of the Manga nor seen the Anime or movies. I may soon rectify that. It looks pretty darned cool!



Last week, I popped into a 7-11 and landed this cool towel. (Just in time for Towel Day) and today I won a pillow!

Furthermore, there's a promo going on with this Momo-ten peach-flavoured water that offers some goodies. There are two little figures and four little cell phone cleaners. Good timing, I need to wipe my phone.

Yesterday I went into a Mini-Stop (a conbini that I infrequently frequent) and got the last two of these that came with a coffee.

I can't read ANY of the Japanese so I can't figure out who they are nor what the Anime is. Can anyone help me out? The logo is: "You're not my much", whatever the hell that means!

Fright Night!

Actually last night was Flight night. I saw it last night with my latest pursuit (second date...a new record!) and though the movie was all right, my friend didn't quite understand it. I snickered every time he quaffed a drink and I found it too preachy. Definitely needs more Goodman!! He was robbed of a nomination, Denzel didn't really deserve one. Overall consensus: it's worth seeing, just not paying big bucks to do so. A rental is sufficient.

While there, I got some pictures taken with some old friends.

Tonight is OZ time! I picked this up last night:

 Not sure how to send away for these Magic Cards, it appears to be a random draw. Which......one...never...wins.
Besides, I already have two decks! If I can easily get them, put in an order and I'll see what I can do! Last night, there were NO goods in either the Disney Store nor the Cinema. Hopefully tonight there will be!
