Friday was payday and as an added bonus I got my Santa remuneration as well. (Well, you don't think I HoHoHo for free, do ya?) I popped into Aeon Natori and to the UFO Catcher there. When lo and behold if there wasn't a new Shin-Godzilla figure on display. It took me about a dozen tries but I finally bagged him!
If you look closely at the box, there are two different ones. So the next day, I happened to be downtown (a long story) so I popped into another Game Centre and landed the other one.
Pretty cool, I like the purple better. Now how does this guy compare with the one that I won when the movie first came out? Let's take a look.
Triplets, only this one has a brownish hue.
While attending the premiere of Doctor Strange (another long story), they had the above items but Woohoo! there were also some mini ones including the Derp-Zilla!
To end my day yesterday, I happened across a Record/CD/Book Sale on the top floor of E-Beans. There I found what appeared to be a magazine yet turned out to be a large card-stock poster of Godzilla vs. Mecha-Godzilla.
The interior.
A close up of the right-hand corner. Can you name them all without checking the legend?
The back page.
Not a bad score. Even better was a bin full of old Godzilla figures, most of which were out of my price range. I did pick up Minila blowing a nuke-bubble for three bucks.
Finally, I'd never seen this odd little item before. It looks like Godzilla with a ball-gag in his mouth! I had to buy it just to see wtf is going on.
Whoa, cool! there's a switch on the back and it actually spits out a red marble. There was one or two more, if they are still there when next I'm downtown, I'll have to pick up another so they can battle.

Stranger Things.
Finally, finally, finally, Dr. Strange is winging its way to cinemas in Japan tomorrow. As you can see here, it had its World Premiere in HK on October 13th last year and was released everywhere else within a month of that date. EXCEPT FOR JAPAN which has to wait another two months. Heck, it's due for a DVD release next month! (And they wonder why there are so many pirates out there...)
It has been tough trying to avoid spoilers when even the headlines of articles contain vital information. Sigh! Ah well, at least I can go see it in glorious 4D tomorrow! I hope to get a whiff of Dormammu.
One movie I did get to see recently was BioHazard, the Final. I never played the game so I didn't even know that the actual title of this franchise is Resident Evil.
Note to self: don't harass Alice.
Or you might get shot in your privates.
Fantastic Beasts was, in a word, Fantastic. I was never much of a Potter-phile, I'd only seen the first 3 and the final half of the final movie. Yet I was immersed into this movie as soon as it began. The IMAX experience helped a lot. I suspect I'll enjoy the magical effects of Doc Strange even more, but the ones in FB were pretty darned good.
I saw the previews for Youkai Watch and I thought the live action version actually looked pretty cool. I think I'll wait until it comes to TV though.
Sadly, I apologize for not knowing anything about this franchise. That didn't stop me from being knighted though.
I've never seen a Doraemon movie either. That didn't stop me from performing as an extra in it!
In another perplexing move, Japan has postponed the release of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children until February 3rd. That's only about 18 weeks later than its official premiere in the USA. Sigh!
I hope it is worth the wait. (It doesn't really matter, I'm a sucker for any Tim Burton movie.)
Hopefully I'll be able to get up to a few more cinematic shenanigans tomorrow!

In Tsummation.
I happened to be wandering through the Aeon Department/Supermarket and grabbed a 12-pack of tea. With that came a free 2017 calendar featuring all of the Star Wars TsumTsum characters. Sweet!
There is another variety of tea that also holds within a TsumTsum calendar. I wonder if it's the same one?
Speaking of TsumTsum Star Wars, here is an empty box that once held some truffles. They were delish yet can no longer be found upon the shelves.
Also within the same supermarket in the bakery are these Avengers TsumTsum confections. It's 2100 yen for 9 of them so they are a tad expensive, but if you have a girlfriend who isn't diabetic, it should be fine for Valentines.
Falcon looks yummiest!
To Tsum up, there are lots of TsumTsum yummies to be found!

Take the Galaxy Train.
I had a wedding in Hanamaki over the weekend and snapped a few pictures of some of the snowy spots.
A Tanuki freezing its balls off.
At the Hotel.
The hotel staff drove me to and from the station so on the way back, I snapped a few shots.
The pictures I took outside the station are similar to the ones in this post although with more snow.
Even the vending machines are cool!
The Galaxy Train travelling along the various constellations.
There is some interesting artwork inside the station.
I didn't have time to explore much further because my train was coming.
Next time I'm in that town, I'll have to revisit the Kenji Miyazawa museum. Only this time, I'll take some pictures.
