C eh N eh D eh!

That's how Canadians spell Canada. As most of you know, today is Canada Day, 166  146 years of the True North Strong and Free. To celebrate, I put on my only actual piece of Canadian paraphernalia, a cheap cheesy tie.

To celebrate, I broke out some Poutine mix but since I had no cheese, I had to chop up a piece of sliced cheese over the fries and then nuke it. Still it turned out all right.

Now I'm stuck with extra gravy for the rest of the week. I'll try it out on various other dishes such as rice, just for a lark.

I thought I'd showcase some of the attitudes towards Canada that our neighbours hold.

You Bet Jurassic!

I wore my Dino-tie today and that inspired me to watch the Jurassic Trilogy tonight. 

I just finished #1 and ジュラシック・パーク still holds up after 18 years and multiple viewings. The dinosaurs are awesome, the kids not nearly as annoying as I'd remembered, chain-smoking Samuel Jackson has had enough of these Mother-F***ing dinos in this Mother F***ing park, Newman was weaselly, Goldblum, Dern & Neill made great heroes, Attenborough was jolly, albeit misguided (Okay his final line was grammatically incorrect: "So do I" should have been "Neither do I" in response to a negative statement, but let's not quibble.) All in all, a great movie. Here are a couple of the promo pics that came with the DVD.

I'm going to watch Lost World before bed and #3 in the morning. I'll spare no expense in giving you an update later.

I'm Miffed!

I started eating the MIKE popcorn mentioned in the last post and needed something to wash it down. Well, just today, I purchased some Qoo Orange drink and that quenched my thirst adequately. I don't buy it regularly, but there was a purple Miffy ハッピスタンプ (happi-stanpu = happy stamp)attached to it and I couldn't resist. (Click on either of those sites and jump around. Speaking of Miffy, I think I'll wear my Miffy ネクタイ (necktie) to work tomorrow. It always elicits squeals of joy.
