Jumping Jiminy!

Actually, it is! I was going to go to bed without posting (2 days in a row!) because after a dozen Pixar posts, I'm in a slump with Bloggers' Block. Then who should I espy in the middle of my kitchen but a sh**house cricket!

* Japanese name: カマドウマ (Kamadoma) but unaffectionately known as a　便所虫 (Benjo-Mushi) or toilet cricket

* Scientific name: Atachycines apicalis
 

After 3 or 4 attempts to envelop him with a t-shirt, I managed to snag him and toss him in my bathtub so he could pose for a picture. I then dumped him outside. Check out the length of his antennae! This isn't the first time I've had one of these guys and he was actually smaller and less ugly than this guy. I'm sure he'll be back!
