After the game, we fought the Caribana crowds and wandered over to Hooters Family Restaurant for some greasy chicken wings. The waitresses lived up to their reputation as buxom young lasses, but the sweltering heat caused several of the patrons to upstage them in skimpy outfits highlighting greater cleavage. But definitely a nice way to end one's trip.
Friday was also the 15th anniversary of the death of my friend Ed Kowalski who succombed to liver cancer at the age of 35. Bob and I toasted him with his older brother Richard over the phone with a shot of scotch. He'd appreciate the irony.
