Not quite War of the Worlds, but one of the previous owners of Shaft is throwing a shindig on Friday. Mr. Ed, who's moved to his native land and teaches Russian, is back for a visit and is holding a Charity Rock & Indies Night in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer. DJs Mixture and special guest DJ Jools (the other previous owner of Shaft) will be blasting from the past. If you're around on Friday, it'll be a cheap night out to help a good cause, have a few cold ones and listen to Best of British rock.
