I almost wish this were a dopey reality show, but the
Comfort Women Crisis continues. Now, the former "
Education" Minister,
Nariaki Nakayama is quite proud of himself for having removed all references to
Sex Slaves from authorized
Junior High School textbooks.
Winston Smith, where are you when we need you?

Other interesting news on this this topic has to do with the popular TV Tokyo variety series, "
The Wife is a Foreigner," which enthusiastically celebrates the assimilation of
non-Japanese women into Japanese life -- just as long as they aren't Korean, Chinese, Filipino or Thai. Those four nationalities together represent the vast majority of expatriate wives in Japan, but for some reason they never appear on the program. Are they not "
foreign" enough?
I'm really enjoying this thread on
CWC. Stay tuned...
